Desert Shakedown Performers 2011

DVD’s of your performance will be available to you only, however, LAS, reserves the right to use clips from the event for promotional and advertising purposes. Contracts to pre-order your performance video will be sent with your performance confirmation/time.

Applying to perform is not a guarantee that you will be able to do so. Performance spots are not confirmed until we receive your volunteer applications or workshop receipt.

All performers must register to perform, no exceptions. After September 1, 2011 all registration applications will be put on a wait-list.

Please answer ALL of the questions on the registration.  We do our best to accommodate any requests you have as to the time of your performance, please be specific in your answers.

We love it when you take classes to support our teachers and the festival! We will do our best to schedule your performance time around your classes. We will schedule dancers who take classes first in order to avoid conflict with said classes. Thank you for your attention and for taking classes.

While it is unfortunate, we must ask that if you are both a solo dancer and a member of a troupe, you select only one of these to perform in. Perhaps your solo could be worked into the troupe’s allotted time? Your cooperation will help us ensure that a greater number of dancers and musicians will also be given this same opportunity to perform.

Please print your tickets and bring them with you, as this will be your way to check in! When checking in with your stage manager no less than 30 minutes prior to your performance slot, please submit your music CD that only has your performance tracks on it. We request that you have a total of two on hand.

Stage Specifics: The back drop curtain is red. The stage itself half of an oval in shape, approximately 12'x30' and an 8 inch rise above the main floor. The stage is painted wood with taped seams and black in color.

Solo Performer: 5 minutes

2-4 Performers: up to 7 minutes

5 or more Performers: up to 9 minutes
